The Clark County School District (CCSD) has launched a website and created a Family Guide to help our students and their families prepare for full-time distance education. The website reconnect.ccsd.net was created to provide information and resources for parents and students preparing for the 2020-2021 school year. Parents/guardians can find information about distance education, registration, food service, access to technology, Canvas, and a variety of other resources. The website is also available in Spanish at reconecta.ccsd.net.
A student is considered present/participating for an attendance day and course based on the definitions below. 1. The student makes progress in their classwork leading toward mastery of Nevada Academic Content Standards and/or a course’s completion that can be verified through a learning management system or other means; and/or 2. The student participates in a LIVE session 3. The student meets with or otherwise communicates with a licensed teacher or licensed substitute teacher who is able to discuss the student’s progress in the particular course.
Onsite Meal Distribution Times will be aligned with Distance Education schedules at each school and pickup times for each individual school may be checked online at Clark County School District Menus. NOTE: Students do not need to be with their parents/guardians to pick up meals and parents/guardians do not have to have their children with them to pick up meals. Students/Parents/Guardians are able to arrive at any school campus to pick up their bagged breakfast and lunch meals. It is preferred that they go to their enrolled school, however, they will be able to get meals at any location within the District. Students/parents/guardians must wear a face covering and verify household eligibility. No food consumption will be allowed in the cafeteria or school campus.
